Help needed with JVC KD-AVX1

Looking to install this unit tomorrow morning, anyone got any ideas on bypassing the handbrake cable sensor so I dont have to park up to use DVD's?

yea just connet it to a constant earth. Ive got the exact same unit in mine and thats all i did. Its a great little unit for th price.

How did you get on fitting it? Mine just wont seem to snap in properly, any ideas???

i got that same unit too, easy to fit. i put my earth on the chassis where the cover pops off under the steering wheel. Tried connecting it to the black wire on newministuff lead but it was not good enough. You may have problems if you try using this head unit with his nav interface too

Had issues getting the unit to snap in to the fascia adapter, no worries with the handbrake lead, that works a treat. Any ideas on getting this unit to fit in to the fascia???? At present its not locked in.
