have to say the door panels look sweet, but..............

I'm not too hot on all the bezel thingys being done in black - bit overkill for me.

But door panels are very very nice.

Thanks guys. I think I spent a lot of time painting ( I mean A LOT).......Haven't had time to clean the car.....and I live in an apartment......so I have to truck over from Brooklyn to the Bronx (fiancee's house) or to my bud's house in Tarrytown in order to wash!

Uptick just noticed that I can paint the dome light cover.... Heh heh.

I think I'll have time to clean this Sunday...and plus tonight I just installed my second Sparco seat....

Pinch away!

Btw I got the black side marker lens at www.mossmini.com for $30...and the first set I got leaked and they replaced them with no charge.

I am eagerly awaiting my next shipment of paint!

After months of reflecting wether to do or not to do, I did it, too.

Unfortunately the chosen colour didn't fit the blue-gray plastics and so I was forced to do a little more than planned...see what happened:

Yeah, the first thing I contemplated was what color. Originally I bought this extra set of door panels on eBay for $115 shipped and they were silver (my car came with alloy patina). Fortunately or unfortunately, they came all scratched up and scuff because they were not packed well.....Worked out a deal for $50 refund the seller......and decided to paint them.

Let me tell you the top of the dash texture and door panels (non-glossy parts) painted black make such a huge difference in the overall look of the car. Yes, yes, I will clean the interior asap! But when i have finished doing the inside....it will look like a new car. The black leatther of the Sparco Milano Prestige seats is also much blacker than the stock seats......

Did you tape up he rest of the door panel when painting the glossy parts Carbonium? I just used some 1/2" blue masking tape and some magazine paper and it worked very well.......(when I applied clearcoat)

Indeed they are! nearly the whole interior was changed or better covered using alcantara and carbon fibre look-a-like leather. I am sorry the pictures are that bad...maybe I can make another series and post them here... Things that are still stock-delivered: inside pillars and roof coverage as well as inside rocker panel covers and the covers in the trunk and in the lower area were my feet take place (sorry, don't know the English word for it).

Even seats and rear bench and side-panels are alcantara/leather-covered...

@LordoftheFlies: mine were dark grey before; concerning your question how I did it: I cracked up the welding points on the rear (and there are plenty of them ) demounted them and took the whole bunch to my local painter...I chose hot orange as it seemde to me a quite good contrast to the black II exterior... Now, door-panels lay there, waiting and than: tadaaa, I thought of alcantara, my favourite material (besides carbon fibre ) and decided to apply it to the panels before remounting my new orange parts...unfortunately the door-panels didn't fit the rest of the car anymore with the luxurious appearance... From there on, I never stopped modifiying parts...
