White Cooper What Head Unit ???

Hi

I need some help deciding on what headunit to go for there is so many to choose from i quite like the colour screen ones there is a few i like :

Sony CDX-M9900
SONY CDX-NC9950
Clarion DXZ858RMP

There is also the pioneer DEH-P9600MP and DEH-P80MP.

I spoke to some guy today who didnt recommend sony for some reason
But he did the clarion and pioneer.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me decide on what to go for any info would be great !

Pioneer MP8600 would be my choice, 4 5v pre outs, Burr Wood 24bit DAC and 24 phase graphic equalizer. Retails at £600 but you can get them fro under £300 now.

I'll agree with whoever said sony aren't that great, trust me, i have one in my mini and its pants mine came with the mini cause some kind person who had it before left it in there!

i also have a few mates with sony stereos and honestly, you are paying for the name, in my experiance they really aren't all that and there are LOTS better head units out there...

..My kenwood stereo i have in my works van (top of the range kenwood in a astra van ..i do alot of miles for work ) and it is the mutts nuts seriously, you have a million more options for setting the sound up should you be a audiopihille, but at the same time its super easy and quick just to set it up sounding great, there is a miles of diff in sound between my sony and my kenwood....as is the same with a friend of mine who is a car nut, he has always gone with kenwood, great sound!!

Before that i had a pioneer which was also excellent

i also have another friend who has a Alpine stereo, great sound but doesn't loko so special IMO

just some of my views...i personally would stear clear of sony though
