Want to give my Mini the sound system it deserves. Ive been thinking along the lines of Genesis amp running a set of their 6x9 subs and then a nice set of components up front is there an issue with space in the front doors dont wanna spend all this money and then they wont fit properly?
I have a set of 6.5" Focals that have a mounting depth of 72mm. This is about as wide and
deep as you can go without major work. If you can afford Genesis audiophile speakers and
a Series 3 to drive it all it'll sound wonderful but don't expect really deep bass. You'll need
lots of sound deadening as well.
Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs
Yep, it is. Best to use the existing wiring into the door and connect the mid-bass speaker
cable as the input to your crossover. Look for a twisted pair of yellow/red (+ve) and
yellow/brown (-ve) for the front left speakers. Brown/black (+ve) and blue/brown (-ve) are
for the front right speakers.
