DIY New MFSW relays

We now have some relays in stock to make use of the phone button on the later 3 spoke MFSW (for those of you without a linked phone kit)
The first allows you to use it to trigger your garage door remote (requires you to open up your garage remote & join in 2 wires from my relay)
The second can be used to mute your radio/cd

We do both variants in spice version (you can get all the wires behind the radio) or plug & play (plugs into the radio)

I like the garage door relay idea. I have Ian's Switch that does the windows and works with the lock toggle for the Garage door. I couldn't find the info on these on you site. Maybe because I was too busy drooling over everything else...

What section are they in?

I found 'em...

Mikey,

I'm thinking of using your MFSW garage door relay for a different application.

I installed the OEM rear view camera (purchased from you!) and it's a great mod. The finishing touch I haven't done yet is to install a switch that would enable on-demand viewing of the camera (normally enabled only when the car is in reverse). I know how to set it up (the circuit diagram is here). Using your relay as the switch, the steering wheel would be a great location to operate it.

I will probably do this as a minimum, and it would allow me to momentarily view the camera while I'm pressing the button. As a further enhancement, it would be fantastic if the button could be made toggle the relay on/off. What would be required to do this? I am willing to add circuitry myself but could use some help to design it.

Richard

How about as another button such as "source" for the stereo. Really Miss my 2 extra buttons from my 2 spoke. If you can, I WANT IT NOW!!!!!

Is the relay hardwired to the phone button, or is there a possibility to use the R/T button? Can one relay be installed for the phone button and another relay for the R/T button, to control two different functions?

Not at the moment - it picks up all its signals at the radio wiring & just decodes the phone button but other things might be developed - to many things too little time
