Question How do I remove the rear center console

I am trying to install a factory armrest in my 06 MCS. I need to remove the rear center console (underneath the hand brake), but for the life of me I can't figure out how it comes out.

I pulled up the hand brake cover and have removed a screw from under there, as well as the screw in the bottom of the cup holder. The console won't budge. What am I missing? Do I need to pry something up? Or just use a LOT of force?

Here's a pic showing where I removed the two screws:

TIA

There are 4 trim clips also holding it in on the back half, just put ur hands underneath the cup holder and pull and you should here 4 pops/cracks as the trim clips release.

Got it, thanks.

In the process of pulling it off, one of the clips on the console actually broke off... dangit.

Yeah, that often happens. Bummer.

The dealer should be able to supply a replacement for the price of a store-bought
fancy coffee.
