Guys I Thinking Of A Complete Banging System For My Mini.
I Currently Have The Factory Sat Nav And Boost Cd Headunit.
I obviously need to keep my sat nav voice and i know this can be done easy with an interface, therefore i can change my headunit aswell.
This Is My Thoughts I Wouldnt Mind A Straight Replacement Speakers So I Keep The Tidyness Look. With This In Mind I Thought Upgrading To Bmw Mini's Digital Surround Speakers (680w) And Simply An Amp And Sub Say 10"vibe. Would This Be Good Enough Or Am I Better To Go For A Good Speaker Swap Like Some That New Ministuff Do?
All you need is a good 3 channel amp like DLS, front components and a 10 inc sub, Mothing more; will good sound quality, in fact amazing compared to the standard headunit and philips speakers.
black ferret thats exactly what i want with a sub, would that be a amazing set up? just read its 680watts and 128 decibels! is it kinda boyracer sound when u crank it up?
the digi system is £995, how much for bmw to fit it?
v. expensive but i bought it because no-one else has it :P
it is a very very very loud system to the point that the speakers begin to distort though it is not so thumpingly bassy as a seperate sub system, more than enough to make you feel it through your whole body though
I have a set-up that mike the mini did for me, check out my gallery for more pics..
If you want a banging system you will need to upgrade your HU thou, Mike can put another speaker in for the sat nav so it isnt a problem
yeh i sound deadened all the doors and rear quarters really helped. im running
pg 5 inch ti elites up front
jl vr690cxis in the rear
all running off a 200.4 pg xenon amp
surely i wont have to change my boost h/unit if i buy the digital surround speakers from bmw mini because that would work beautifully together, however if i buy kenwood speakers for eg i would have to.
