iPod Mounting in Glovebox?

Just wondered if anyone's done this successfully, and if it will fit??

Basically I'm thinking about getting an icelink plus, and fitting the active cradle in the sunglasses holder in the glovebox door, so the ipod stands up centrally when the glovebox is opened. But will it fit when closed, especially as I have the glovebox organiser??

The reason I need it stood up is because I'll need to be able to see the screen as I'm doubtful if my '03 will display text on the screen (although I'm hoping it will, and even if it doesn't perhaps a haedunit firmware update in the future will allow it??).

Any help or pics appreciated!

Even if text won't work can I still use the "button 6" menu and select artist/album etc. by using the MFSW buttons and looking @ the iPod screen?

I've mounted my IceLink cradle in the glovebox using a bit of hot melt glue, but I can't use the text to HU option because I have the Nav option. However, I can still use the MFSW buttons to control lthe iPod and select playlists from the number buttons on the HU, but I lose the Artist/Album selections that you get when text to HU is active. The only way I can actually choose exactly what I want to listen to is to remove the iPod from the cradle, use the iPod menus, and then drop it back in - bit of a pain in the ar*e, but still easier than messing around with CDs.

Even if you don't get text on your HU, you can still press 6 and then use the MFSW buttons to navigate the artist/album on the actual ipod screen can't you?
