I think u have to start with removing the down tubes either side, then u can get access to the rest of the facia. I read it somewhere, will try and find it.


Check out the DIY section for removing the down tubes. you should be able to get access to heater control and remove it then. How u then put those nice shiny chrome bits on, i'm not sure.

Follow instructions for removing dash down tubes HERE.

Remove the four screws holding in head unit and remove unit. You can then undo two screws holding in heater controls. You need to remove two of the clips that the dash down tube screws into (normally blue) that are either side of the heater controls. Should be able to then release the heater control clips and push the whole unit back (may need to disconnect the heater cables beforehand). You then have to manoeuvre and twist the heater controls to get them out. Awkward job but easier than putting it back in again

Once removed you will find the fascia is clipped on.

It was acceptable in the 80's
