Red face Where to hide the parrot evo bluetooth box?

Hello everyone,
I've just got my MINI 2 days ago and ready to install mikey's parrot evo bluetooth.
I can follow the DIY instruction alright just to the last step. I can't figure out where to put the blue phone box. Mikey recommended to put it behind the drivers dash end panel, but I don't really know which part he is refering to Can someone please point me to the right direction? and how to remove the panel?

This is the pic from Mikey's website

On the end of the dash against the door seal there is a removable panel, thats what the photo is with the panel removed.

I'm about to fit my Parrot tomorrow. I've found the big space and the end of the dash but does anyone have any tips on how to route the wiring from the head unit to Parrot box?
Thanks in advance!

Pull the drivers knee bolster off. Run the wires along the bottom rail using cable ties, a factory loom goes along part way to footwell light

I don't have a drivers knee bolster. I wish I did cos it'd be a doddle then!

Its a 52 plate Mini One and it just has the little shelf running under the steering wheel instead!

Thanks Mike, i only had a cursory look yesterday, i'm sure it'll be pretty straightforward when I actually get into it!

Does anyone have any experience with mounting the mic on the Parrot display using the little fitting that comes with it? I know that the fave place for the mic is the top of the A-Pillar. Is that the optimum location for sound quality?

It is very easy to install, just take your time and tie everything off. Also, you might want to make sure that you have the connectors on the Parrot box pointing up. I had one connector slide out on me over some bumps. I had to change it a bit to keep that from happening.

Fitted my CK3100 today and I have to say i'm very impressed with the sound quality. The volume level is so good that i don't need it turned up to MAX.

I bought my Parrot second hand from a friend and the software version is 4.11. Does anyone know how this differs from the current 4.16 version?

I'd like to have the option of having the illumination permanently OFF until I receive a call or press a button so if the newer software version includes that it'd be worth upgrading. Although how i'm going to drive my car through the front door and upstairs to my computer to bluetooth it i don't know!

Any help on the software version differences would be great!
Thanks in advance!!
