Question Garmin Navigation

Hi folks, I've used a garmin emap for a while in other cars but was thinking of upgrading to the streetpilot system for my cooper. I need it to be transportable between cars and wondered if anyone here has had any experience with the streetpilot models.

where would you mount it?, is the routing any good?
etc etc

I nearly went for the stock nav system but I hate the swuare screen in a round hole display and of course you cannot move it between cars.

any advice greatfully accepted

Hey! I am just the guy with the information you need! I have a Garmin Street Piolot III that I use in many cars. I have the Bean Bag mount, (the one that has the plastic locking clamp) and use it on my MCS. It mounts to the left of my steering wheel and works GREAT. I have an external antenna hook-up on another car, but do not need it on the MINI. The verticalness(?) of the windshield makes the short antenna on the unit work fine. The lack of windshield (windscreen) slant makes the unit easy to fit and stand while driving. I wished the G SPIII would mount as easy in all my cars! Good luck!
