Question Car Alarms?

I am looking at a couple car alarms with two way transmitters, Cobra and Compustar. Any feedback on these makes or others would be really appreciated before I make the plunge.

Every place I go to says their product is the best. I'd like to hear from someone who has a good system or knows someone who has. Thanks.

I have a Clifford Concept 650. I'm very happy with that, proximity sensors, motion tilt....etc etc.

It will never stop anyone breaking in/stealing my car but I have a little more piece of mind!!

I had a clifford concept 50 on a previous car, i could'nt fault it.
Make sure it's a thatcham cat 1 alarm / immobiliser. It's vital the installers are
VSIB approved. I don't Know anyone who's had a problem with a clifford.

Thanks for the advice! I haven't heard of Clifford before but then again I've never had a car alarm before either.
I'll be checking that brand out now and also making sure the installers are certified, that would be the pits if the car didn't run properly after the install.

Car alarm

I just got a new car alarm installed in my car. It's a Python 700 LED 2-Way. It is the best alarm. It will tell you like if someone is breaking into your car and also beeps and lights up after you command it to do things. It also has a range of 1/5 of a mile. Here is a picture of it.

I'm not calling DAVIDOYO out or anything, but I have to say that I WILL NEVER own a product from Directed Electronics, Inc. ever again. They are the makers of the Python and Viper car alarm systems.

Before I bought my MINI a month ago, I had a Python 700W With the 2-way communicator. I was walking out of walmart, and reached to my lower cargo pockt, which is about 8 inches from the ground, grabbed my keys w/remote. I accidently dropped the key ring and the remote broke. I had to have someone come out and disarm my alarm so I could go home, since using the key to unlock the door does NOT disarm the alarm, and the system seizes the starter.

So that's my story in a nutshell

I had someone attempt to break into my car when I first got it so I purchased my system for some extra piece of mind!
