How do I remove the panel around the heater knobs?

I need to remove the panel around the heater knobs to replace the knobs themselves.

I have the standard controls (not the climate control).

I am told that it should just prise off, but it just seems like I'm going to break it

If anyone has done this, please could they tell me how?

Thanks

Tigger.

Hi John

Im not sure about the actual fascia panel on the heater panel coming off. However, it might be easier to work on it on a bench with the whole unit removed?

The heater assembly comes out as a unit. You will need to remove the downtubes to access the retaining screws, its the same procedure as is used for removing the radio head unit.

Thanks Jon,

Unless any one can come up with a fool proof way of doing it in situ, that's what I'll do.

John.

John,

This image may help... It shows two 'clips' on the top edge of the unit, these may hold the facia on?
