The removable parcel shelf will do the trick. Take it off and place it with the semi-circular cutout pointing towards the floor. That way, it fits over the central tunnel and stays in position to protect (some of) the front seat-backs.. Hope this helps. |

| HI, I bought a couple of fleece blankets from Jack Wolfskin (sure they can be had cheaper, but these are super nice) just after I bought my Cooper partly for emergency warmth and partly to protect the interior. Had loads of luggage in the back over Xmas period including a snowboard bag and drove about 3000miles without getting a mark on the interior - 1 blanket for everything to lay on, 1 blanket to cover and tuck everything in. The added advantage is no-one can see what's in the back. I always keep them folded up in the boot, good for even stopping groceries etc bouncing around.. I hear you on the big heavy boxes issue - wouldn't want any of my similar stuff going in the back of the Mini.......I'm lucky enough that it gets trucked everywhere for me.. ![]() Cheers, Geoff. |
