Just an update - I love my Mini dealer.

They're replacing the badge/assembly under warranty for me.

MsAmy.

Doncaster etalj. Saleswise I can highly recommend Chris or Marko, have yet to meet the mythical Peter in service, however all other contact there has been great.

Cheers!

oh ok, me too

I got my car from kings way, but i have dealt exclusively with donny. Mostly service though. I know Peter, and also deal with dominique a lot, he's very helpful.

Had my badge start peeling and not as a result of using the horn really hard. Happened about 7 months in. Air bag cover replaced under warranty. Part was apparently about $86 Aus dollars. New one already has the right side sticking out a bit higher than the left. Well have to see how it goes.

I was driving around last night and for a moment - just a moment mind you - I almost remembered my destination. - It's all about the journey, not the destination.

Just to drag an old thread up.....
This has happened to my wife car as well!
Obviously she is of similar heritage to you MsAmy (Popeye for a father + Amazonian mother)....
The rep from BMW has looked at the car and determined that she must have punched it to cause the damage and has said "NO WARRANTY REPLACEMENT FOR YOU!!".
So, armed with the information in this thread, I have told my dealer to get back to the Rep and tell him - not acceptable - others have had replaced under warranty!
Gee, you would think someone who had bought 2 new minis (the second one being close to $60K) in under 2 years would be thought of as being a good customer wouldn't you!!!

Good luck with it CJJ - I've found MINI Australia an intriguing beastie to deal with. One minute they'll bend over backwards for you, the next they'll completely ignore a personal letter (yes Mr Hocevar, your face should be red...)

Hopefully you have a good dealer who will go into bat for you - I've been very lucky there.

Cheers!
MsAmy.

Well, BMW Australia says NO!
As well as not fixing wheels that have engine mount fluid all over them, squealing and grinding brakes etc.
