Locking Glovebox in Pre-facelift MINI? I just tried to fit a locking glovebox to a January 2004 build MINI One without success. It seemed that the glovebox must have changed shape slightly as it would not push in flush. Does anyone know if a new locking glovebox should fit a pre-facelift MINI?

Thanks for your reply. I'm sure it wouldn't go in flush. As a result, the screw at the back of the glovebox was going in at a downwards-facing angle, and the 2 screws on the left and right of the glovebox would go in but the glovebox was about 1cm away from the actual blue clips (i.e. not touching them).

sounds like youve got the box stuck on something as they should be the same. ive fitted a locking glovebox to a pre-facelift one, took a little bit of wiggling about but it went in and everything lined up OK. good luck!
