Removing CD Changer

I'm just trying to take the cables out of the CD Changer (std MINI one), with little luck

One cable has come out, but the other one (the smaller of the two) isn't budging at all. I've twied squeezing it etc but it really doesn't want to come out.

Anyone any advice?

I've got everything removed, except the Speedo and double cupholder ones.

I had to pull up the middle section of the dash to initially remove the original speedo ring, but I assumed that as the new chrome one just pushed on from the front, that I would be able to pull it off from the front too?? Can anyone suggest where to grab/prize etc.

Also the cupholders (front of the gearstick)...they came off easily originally, but now aren't budging. Again, where should I be prizing them from etc.
