TomTom Go Firmware 6.12 Now Available

ver 6.12 is now finally available to all users of TomTom Go's, but only via their Home software application, details here http://www.yournav.com/content/n/173/

some nice new features - pin protection at start up is a biggie. Also for run organisers, the ability to navigate to lat/long co-ordinates is a big plus & tomtom buddies could be good on a run.

I think the new software has been removed for some Tomtoms. I can't see it for my Tomtom 300 anyway.

it was released for all tomtom go's but they took it back down after users started complaining of their units locking up. my go 500 is working a treat, aside from the new features the performance is improved - initial satellite aquisition is down from anything up to a couple of minutes to less than 20 seconds, plus its locking on up to 10 satellites where previously it would be 5 or 6, route planning is faster, traffic updates are much faster.

Upgraded my 300 it seems to be working fine and better than before but it did appear to lock up once but I put that down to me just pulling out the USB lead rather than stopping the service first on the PC!!

yeah they definately don't like that. there's a delay writing to the sd card, you'll notice the xard icon flashing on the screen when its downloading.

being able to operate the go from my desktop using the home software is great too. i can check my routes home before leaving the office now, plus it'll be great for run planning
