Yes speak to MiketheMini. If he can't sort it out no one can. I believe he does something that allows you to use a head unit with HK. See here http://www.newministuff.com/new/index.php?section=9 You might lose the changer though.

I didn't think there was such thing as a Harman Kardon cassette... ![]() If it is HK, you need the HK Enabler as well as the usual stereo fitting kit. You'll also need a navigation interface to get the navigation voice. I think that's everything, but Mike will hopefully confirm.

You can change the head unit As you have HK you need a HK enabler BUT my sat nav interface won't plug in when you have the hk enabler BUT I now have a work around for this ![]() NOTE - if you change the stereo you will lose the changer anyway as NO aftermarket stereo will work with the factory changer NEW On Monday I will have stock of the new ICELINK GATEWAY300. Soon after the Gateway400 will arrive - the gateway 400 will allow ipod & factory changer & USB browser !!

Its Def HK with a cassette player! Why they still do a cassette player i will never know, the quality is so far bahind CD. I'm not too bothered about the CD changer, could use the extra boot space anyway! I have a 30gb ipod so i want to make use of it in the car! I take it the BMW ipod connectors are not that good! Is there that much space behind the head unit, i don't remember having a great deal of room, when i installed my apline in my old One D! Whats the cost for the Gateway units? ![]() 2002 COOPER / 2003 ONE D / 2003 COOPER S

They don't anymore; Boost CD is now standard. ![]() The BMW iPod adaptor is okay, but doesn't have as much functionality as Dension's offerings. Perhaps wait and see what the new Ice Links have to offer, or consider the current Ice Link Plus. Another option is to change your head unit to something aftermarket, which would provide CD and also the possibility to connect your iPod up. There's not a great deal of room, though you can usually push cables down behind the climate controls. If you unclip the knee bolster or take out the glovebox, you can get down behind the head unit quite easily.
