I dont think BMW do a retrofit for the nav screen im afraid you can do a DIY but it certainly isnt for the faint hearted and would need to be pretty clued up with electronics. You could ask mikethemini at www.newministuff.co.uk he might have done one although im unsure.... I had the Nav in my ONE and wasent too impressed with its functionality to tell you the truth thats why I opted out of the BMW nav screen for a kenwood 725 motorized one IMHO the kenwood is the daddy ![]()

not sure even if BMW would want to touch sumthing on that scale to be honest and if they do they will be sure to retire early! best bet is to go aftermarket like richy boys Kenwood - does the job and can play alllllll sorts of media whilst on the move (rich u still have my dvd git)probably about a third of how much BMW would offer to retro-fit the BMW nav so have a word with mikey - his fingers have been places only BMW technicians dream of m o n k e y : n u t s

Yep, it is a big job and not an easy one. Best to go aftermarket (cheaper as well). It can be done but will cost you a great deal more than the OEM. THere are wheel sensors and gyros to buy as well as the screen, NAV and wiring harness. A couple have done it, but it is not for the faint hearted.

| I'm pretty sure that BMW don't retrofit the Satnav in the UK. You can get them on ebay but fitting is a major pain in the ass even for tech type folks apparently (probably why BMW don't try it) I think that costs of parts is quite high anyhow but labour will be huge if its as hard as folks have made out in the past. | Speak to LuckyDave from autotech or to Mikey at newministuff. There are only certain HUs that can be used with the HK system but they need a converter or something. Mikey or Dave will know about it and might be able to advise, Not sure if Dave does converters for HK but pretty sure Mikey does. |

If you are interested in changing your HU, speak to Mikey www.newministuff.com He can help you get your H/K stuff situated. He has the enabler to do it and I believe is the only one in the UK. Trust me, you are in good hands with him. OK Mikey, now you can swoop in to help.
