What sport seats are available for the cooper s? I've currently got the JCW Works seats, but i think because of my size I can't get comfy, i've tried every single position but still get back ache
I didn't take anyout, I bought the car second hand and they were already in there, they've only been in the car a few months and look great but my **** is too big
Why is retrofit so expensive? Surely its just getting the correct mount made up
its the cost of the parts thats expensive, no need to make anything up, and you can fit yourself, its purely down to the parts.
have a look on www.realoem.com get the part numbers, give you dealer a call and get the costs.
Then might be worth calling Woodmans, one of the site sponsors, they give 10% off to MINI2 members, but could still cost you a tidy amount for fronts and backs in recarros.
But sports seats tend to turn up in the For Sale section fairly often if you just want standard, and also bare in mind that as you have signed up as a Privilege member, you should be able to get some cash back for your JCW ones, around £700-800 for the pair
No worries, I'll be interested to see how much they quote on parts, if you struggle, try Anthony at Woodmans, and if he can't help let me know I know someone else that might be able to
Don't worry about the mix and match, I have a red half cloth/leather in my rear, and the JCW's in the front, looks fine
Don't quote me on prices; so you say it's the parts that are expensive; When specifying certain options at time of order e.g xenons £370; considerably more to retrofit, Alarm £200; on another thread a dealer has quoted over £500 to retrofit and so on.
I can understand that labour is a factor, and it's easier to fit the bits and bobs on the production line; but can anyone enlighten me as to why the charges are so extortionate, or am I way of the mark??

Reason: fix quote
If you dont mind me asking where abouts did you get the recaros for at that price??? and are you getting your local dealer to fit ?? did you end up selling the jcw seats??
The one and only ebay. No need for the dealer this time, they came on rails so it was simply 4 bolts a seat, and unclipping the wires under the seat and popping them on the new ones. It has made my airbag light stay on but my local dealer can reset this in under 30 secs for free, which is nice.
Not sold my JCW's yet, I have 33 pm's about them though! I'll take some pics and put them on the for sale board.
