| I've gotta say I'm still really hung up on this kit, it has to be the best car kit I've *ever* used.... and I don't say that lightly. I'm very much a sucker for making things seem "right" (as anyone whos car I've ever worked on... they usually end up doing a lot more than they expected to do to their car )..... and I'm in love with this kit. |

| This sounds just what I'm after, but before I go and spend yet more money on my car, can you answer a couple of quetsions? - Does this work exactly the same as the factory fitted Bluetooth option? Does the identity of a caller come up on the radio display, and can you scroll thouugh your contact list using the up and down buttons? - How do you pair it with your phone? On the OEM system (well, the one in my BMW) you have an additional button in the armrest. Is there a clever way around this? - With regards the mike, where did you fit this. I've had a look at the roof lining on my car, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere suitable. Did the car you worked on have a sunroof? I seem to recall that if you have a sunroof, you get a little grill which would be perfect for a mike, but on non sunroof cars (like mine) you have to leave the mike visible. Sorry to ramble on so much, but hope you can answer my questions. TIA 2005 Cooper S - CR/W, Chili Pack & lots more 2005 BMW M3 Coupe - Carbon Black with Imola Red Leather. | To be honest I have not used the factory car kit in a while, but when I did it did not show up the caller ID on the radio, nor did it allow scrolling of phonebook on the headunit. You pair the system by using the original Parrot "button" console, which I personally install just on the inside of the knee bolster, so if you need to access it you simply pull the knee bolster down - lets face it, its very rare that you'll need to do it! I installed the mike in the blank panel where the little grille is, as the car had a sunroof. Personally if I was going to install it on a non-sunroofed car, I'd prob. run the wires out of where the rear view mirror bolts up (i.e. remove the mirror, and then run the wire through) and put the mike next to that so its as hidden as possible. Another option is perhaps to install it in the top corner where the A pillar cover meets the windscreen so its fairly hidden there. |

| I've got the mic sitting between the speedo and tacho (Chrono pack). You'd barely notice it's there, and it's the only sign of the kit you can see at all. Installation was simple. Full marks to Mikey for the kit. |

| Wouldn't mind making my "useless" MFSW phone buttons control my Nokia kit...but I'd only be able to use call/callend/redial, and not voicedial as I don't have voicedialling on my phone...so just for that, when the official Nokia button is a few inches to the right, £85 is a bit overkill ![]() |
