Retro fitting p-t buttons on multifunction wheel

Hi Guys I have a 04 Cooper S just a month before the blue tooth buttons on the steering wheel has anyone retrofitted them??

If you've got a three spoke wheel already, it should just be a matter of changing over the actual button panel itself, as it was set up to take it.

Lucky bugger... would not mind a three spoke wheel!

I'm thinking more about the wiring behind the steering wheel Mikey will know.....

99% sure its the same mate. If its not we can just do some wiring and hardwire the buttons in anyway .

I think all of the MF wheel buttons just send different signals down the KBUS line, so they all share the same wire, its a serial signal.

So retro fitting should be just remove old switches and replace with new.
However the BCU probably wont recognise the new signals from the new switches.

Actually because it was a fairly common thing to have/not have I'm pretty sure that the BCU will recognise it anyway.
