Hey,

I have just been reading through this subject and it seems very interesting. I have an '07 plate MINI with what I assume will be the '07 maps. Please could someone advise of any sites or give advise on how to swtich the speed camera detection on?

Thanks.

You say 07, is it an 07 Cabrio? If it isn't then you have an R56 which has a different system in it and if that is the case then disregard what I told you about in the Ipod thread.

The R56 came out in 07 in the hard top only. The cabrio is still an R53 which is why I ask. This will dictate how we help you out.

OK, then disregard the Ipod thread as it won't work in yoru MINI and neither will this thread. You have the newer Nav which is the professional version that BMW makes. The older MINI (R53) used the High version. All of the hacks that you are looking at were for the older system. To my knowledge there are no hacks for the new nav yet.

Hey,

Ok thanks for the information thought I would checkout the options just incase. Might have to see if one of my technical people could look at the software to see whether another piece of software could run along side using the GPS unit. Just to pluck a random idea out of the sky.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Thanks.
