DIY Changing Cental Speedo Dial

Hi

CAa anyobody tell me is changing the central speedo dial is a big job. My car came with a mph dial but it should be in kph. The garage will change it as its an error. But i dont really want them to take all my dash aprt and then have about 10 rattles

thanks

I think you have to change out the whole unit ...

If it's a "mistake" the dealer should swap it at no charge. If you do it and rattles result you have nobody to blame

I can understand your concern. Doesn't it have both?

it does but the kph is small. Plus all the road signs are in kph, so it can get a bit confusing, i dont want to get caught doing 120 mph in a 120 kph zone

I wonder if i could just change the digital speedo to KPH???

Maybe it would be better just to change the digital readout, that way you would still have MPH on the main clock when you come up Norf!

....will the Vehicle mileage change to KM too?

I think it is a dealer job, they change the display output to Km/h and i also think all units change to km/h ie total distance
