anyone tried using one of these in there MINI? is it any good and whats the differences?

think I found out from that site...so I'll have a look tomorrow. thanks for your quick response!

* The MKIV system system is installed on model year 2003 and beyond vehicles.

* The MKIV is DVD-based and can use both CD and DVD navigation disks from Navteq

Best way is to select the setup menu on your nav and look in the right hand corner. If it begins with a 3, then it is MK3, if 4 then MK4.

Just to add that when you burn the firmware image to a CD, try and use a good quality disc and burn at a slow speed (1x if you have the patience!). The reason for this is that you don't want any glitches when the firmware is uploading to the navigation computer.

please help. I ve got a mini cooper s work and its got a Mk4 sat nav. I would like to update the firmwire. So it looks better. I am finding it hard to track a copy down. If anyone has a copy or can inform me of were to get one from please can you let me know. Thanks gents. By the way great site.

Should be working now.

I have no clue why the link was failing. I had to delete it and re-add it.
