Sport seats have longer bottom cushion?

Hi,

Do the sport seats have longer bottom cushions than the regular seats? I know they have more side bolstering, but not sure about the leg support. I have a 32" inseam and don't feel comfortable unless there's plenty of support.

Thanks!

I have the sport seats in my MCS and the support is fine. I'm 6'3" with long legs and the cushions come to a few inches below my knees.

Actually, I was wondering if the regular, non-sport seats, are as supportive. If the sport seats aren't any longer, I might as well get the regular seats, assuming I don't get an MCS.

GET THE SPORTS SEATS!

The sports seats are MUCH more comfortable than the standard seats, particularly if you have long legs. They offer better side support and a longer base for better under-thigh support.

These comments apply even more so if you're going for all leather. I had a courtesy MINI cooper with standard leather seats today, while mine was in for the gear-linkage re-call. I had to hang on round even the slightest of bends taken quickly - the seats gave no support whatsoever. Great to get my half-leather sport seats back under my bum again this evening!!

PS I'm 6' 1" with 32" inseam and know exactly what you mean about the difficulty of getting seats with enough support. I previously had a BMW 3-series with the sport seats option - they were brilliant. In contrast, the standard seats in my wife's Golf are woefully inadequate (should have got a GTI!). Most standard seats seem to be made for the average shape/size of the perceived customer base, so if you're the wrong side of that average, they are going to be too small (or too big)

SUM UP: GET THE SPORT SEATS FOR YOUR MINI. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Thank You! Exactly what I needed - a strong endorsement one way or the other.

Definitely get the sport seats. They are VERY comfortable. Also, the side bolsters help to keep your leg off of the center console support. Also, if you need more leg support, you can crank up the height adjustment.(6-1, 34 inseam).

I found the regular seats to be comfier than the sports seats, tried them both, was ready to get the sport seats, thought they looked cooler but ended up saving $240.00(fine with me. Anyway I'm 5'3 and a half inches tall with a 29" inseam (long legs, no torso ) I also drive barefoot.
