TV Module ??

HI all

i am looking for some help to identify this video module.

i know its a tv module for BMW and i am hoping it is compatible with my dvd sat nav. BUT i have a feeling it might be for the Idrive or newer BMW's which use Fiber Optics.

i have attached some pictures. i am hoping it will work, otherwise i have a large paper weight

thanks all

What do the instructions say or did they sink with the container?

that was my initial thought when i saw it on Ebay, but the auction had started before the ship got stuck.

what you see is what i got.

the only reason i got it off ebay without much clue as to if it would fit, was becasue i got it for a very low price. so if i have no luck ill just stick it back on ebay.

i may take it down to BMW parts and see if they can shead any light on the matter, i have had a quick look throught RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog, but i couldnt match any of the numbers.

Hi,

If the unit was for a newer Fibre optic system,it would have 2 pretty obvious fibre optic connections. (1 x in, 1 x out). They are 2 small circles, approx 3mm diameter about 7mm apart from each other. It is part of an integrated connector with power supply.

I cant see them on your pictures, so you might have the correct one for the R50.

Jango.

Looks like a pre production prototype to me.

HW:00 means HardWare level 00
SW:00 means SoftWare level 00
AI:01 means Change Index 01

very early part from the above.
