Carbon Dashboard

Hey guys. I have a thought of changing my dashboard to a carbon fibre one. Now i dont know if anyone can help me with some pictures etc. And the main question is the carbon fibre dashboards as they say, are complete replacemen of the dashboard or they are just covers over the existing one.

Also which on in the market is good talking from your experience? Thansk in advance.

The John Cooper Works Carbon Fibre Dash is a complete replacement of the panels on the dash to Carbon Fibre ones. Most other aftermarket ones are either thin carbon fibre that you stick on, or a decal that sticks on also.

Hope that helps,

Thanks Dvid. My next question then is are these stick-on carbons reliable or they may fade after a little while?

I'd be tempted to get the proper stuff, but effectivly close up they won't look to real, no shine from the laminate or the 3d look of real carbon under the laminate.

You'll have to be very careful when you fit them to insure you cover all the existing dash under the stick-on's.

But to the average joe it might look fine

I got the following quote for the JCW Carbon Interior Trims (R56):

Driver's side £135
Passenger's side £135
Passenger's side for Mini's with storage compartment pack £135 (not yet available)

Estimated fitting time: 45 mins.

I'm definitely getting the trims when my baby comes in March!
