Wink Dice? is it another ice link mess?

Hey all!

Its been a while since i posted and i spent quite some time scouring the forums but i cant seem to find the info im digging for.

About my car:
05 MCS (pre-april model) w/ Sat Nav v26(?) HK stereo
Also in there is my Ice Link > plus v2.04

Its been almost 2 years and have attempted to upgrade the firmware on the ice link and have never been successful. and yes ive tried the start_mp3 as well as a mess load of other methods.

Anyway~ Ive been getting more and more annoyed with the 8 characters of text taking over my Nav screen when having the ipod on. Its glitched a few times (happens more often than not) so i get the ipod playing and the nav displaying which has been nice.

I've laid low to let the dust settle with this Dice thing and i think its time to pick one up. BUT!!! Before i do, i'm looking to you guys to answer a few questions.

Ive read (somewhere here) that Dice DOES show artist/track info on the nav screen, though it does take over the screen.
1. Does/will it also show the driving directions? can someone upload a picture of it in action?
2. Does/will it show the entire artist and track info? via scrolling or someother method?
3. I also read that you can toggle the track display. is this true?
4. For the Radio type harness im assuming it works similarly to the ice link?

thanks!

...and yes, im sure someone out there is wondering, i HAVE read ALL 76 pages of that crazy ice link post. hahaha (not in one sitting though )

To my knowledge the DICE has the same issue as the Icelink with text on NAV based MINI's. The problem is that they are using the phone channel to push text and by default the system will over take the nav to display the "incomming call" on the nav. So basically if you have NAV, you are out of luck with text.
