is there anywhere to plug in aux pronos? have an idea but not sure if it will work!

4 options - a special interface that converts the cd changer into an aux but you loose the changer
NewMINIStuff.com
An aux interface that plugs into the cd changer & allows you to switch between changer & aux
NewMINIStuff.com
Icelink plus - control the ipod from your stereo & charge it but lose the changer
NewMINIStuff.com
Or the ultimate Gateway 400 - connects at the changer keeps changer & allows you to control the ipod from the stereo

could do with keeping the changer to be honest as its only a tape up front! does the denison connector not allow you to use the cd changer also?was speakingto a guy in halfords today who suggested i get the denison set up. dont know if he realised i had a changer or not tho!

Mikey laid it all out for you. The Gateway 400 is what you want if you want to keep the CD Changer. This is a Dension product. The other option is the AUX interface which will allow you to keep the changer.

Yes can see that but would rather not pay £180.00 for a connector, would rather just get a better headunit that can display track title etc. Have seen this one which is pretty cheap and crappy but will do the job!

Just wondering what i would need to connect it, do i need to get some kind of adapter?
Also is it possible to keep the steering wheel controls as i find them quite handy!

you could get something like the Alpine CDE-9850Ri CD/MP3 Player with Direct Ipod Connection! you can get it for about £160 if you look around , you would be better off getting the best head unit you can get rather than getting a budget one and having to upgrade it 6 months later!

the interface on the alpine works very well and is very easy to use and will give you full control over the ipod and charge it as well!

with regards to any adapters speak to Mikey! the service from him is excellent and he will be able to sort the correct items for you to connect everything!

Depends on the HU as far as the controls are concerned. James pointed out on highly recommended HU but it will cost a bit more as there are adapters that you will need to make any other HU work in your MINI. Mikey sells what you need.

I'd steer clear of the cheapy as there is no telling if it will work or not.

You will loose the CD Changer if you switch HU's thus costing you more than the Icelink anyway.
