United-Kingdom cd changer cable

Hi
I have a uk mini cooper with cd boost , mfsw, and no cd changer.

My problem is I cant find the cd changer cable that I expected to be installed the boot. I have
I recently bought a denison icelink plus from ebay in the USA which is the boot mount version that connectes to the cd changer cable. I have undone screws and looked behind several panels thouroughly in the boot and cant find any cd changer connector.

Am I missing something or is there no cable installed for uk cars who don't choose the cd changer?

if so, does anyone have any ideas what I can do with my icelink plus to connect it to the headunit directly instead??

Many Thanks

PS very good Mini forum you have here!

Thanks, sounds like I should have asked for the cable to be fitted when I bought it back in 2003. Ah well - if I can get a loom to attach it on then that sounds good enough!

I had a look for the loom mentioned above: I assume the item labeled
"IceLink spares (Icelink to Mini Boost/HK loom)" is the one that would suit me.

Can I use the loom *instead* of the long cable that comes with the icelink plus trunk kit because I wonder whether all the wires will fit behind the stereo? It would be handy if new mini stuff sold the screwdriver to get the stereo out too but I guess I can pick one of those up in halfords if not.

thanks,

I'm sure that Mikey can sell you a new Ipod cable as well to connect to your chip. As for the screw drivers, you can get them at any hardware store. They are simply Torx drivers.
