Changing the RadioCassete Player with an original BMW MINI MP3 Player

Hi all,

I hava a MC 08/03 model. Currently i have the standard Radio Cassette player (i think it's the wave), and i want to change it with the BMW MINI MP3 Player (BMW MINI RADIO BUSINESS CD i think ) which i have found on the Internet and i think it was on a face lift model.

The thing is that i don't know if this will fit with my current connector because there are two types of audio plugs in the Mini's.

Has anyone done this before?

Thanx a lot for your time!

If you do have WAVE then you need a harness adaptor

A stock MINI radio will swap straight out of a Boost car for any MINI set-up except HK system. If you have basic Wave then you'll need a wave to boost adaptor to change the pins on the old wire loom in your Wave car to the connectors used on the MINI MP3 player (which was designed as only available on boost cars) other than that it should work.

Mikey is very good and his site will have the correct bit you need. You need a wave to boost adaptor

This is the most unprofessional bit of site management I have seen since I was banned from a certain other site...at least they had the excuse that they were enthusiasts who had strong views and not professionals paid to keep thier cool!
