V29 Firmware is out

The V29.1 Firmware for the OEM NAV has been released into the wild. I have a copy of this loaded on my NAV and I am testing it. I have noticed better route fidning so far but there seem to be no visual tweaks. I will be hosting it on Simply MINI for download once I am comfortable with it.

Glad they are still releasing firmware updates for R53 Nav systems, hope they don't just abandon these systems so they can concentrate on the R56 Nav systems

Just loaded - so far so good (and I'd only just put v28 on this morning!)

So far it seems to be pretty solid. More than likely they are tuning the back end. As for the updates, they will continue as there are many BMW cars still getting the MK4.

I've put it on my car and it works okay. I cannot see any difference to V28.

There is a lot of info on hacking the firmware on X5world if you are interested. We haven't put it here because of the legality of it all. I may actually also gather the tools and put them on Simply MINI at some point.
