What is Radio BOOST?

This may sound like an absolutely silly question, but what exactly is Radio BOOST (More Specifically, what is it on a 2001 example).

I have been trying to hunt this down but can't figure it out - the only thing I can assume is that it is an uprated stereo over the standard one?

Yes on UK cars wave cassette was standard
Boost was an optional extra availble as cassette, cd or md - it was more powerful

The basic Radio called 'Wave' was about 5 watts of power and had a basic radio and cassette.

If you had boost it was a bit more powerful, maybe 20 watts I think, had RDS, and on the cassette version I think it was a litttle better. Added an autoreverse or dolby or something. You also could have a CD or minidisk instead of the cassette.
