Angry ipod whisle when playing - dension ice plus!

hiya

i am having trouble with my ipod/dension ice link plus.

The problem started about 2 weeks ago after my ipod was sent back for repair and the software updated.

When I play my ipod through the dension after a 10 or so seconds the music starts to crackle. If i use the scoll wheel which turns the light on the ipod on, it stops. Once the light goes off it starts crackling again. If you leave it crackling after a little while longer the speekers start to whine/whistle. The whine is relevent to the revs. Higher the revs the more it whines. Once it starts to whine touching the ipod or radio makes no differnce. The whine is only noticable in the left speeker but that may be because i am that side.

though it was because of the charge mode or volume mode of the dension but changing that makes no differnce.

I have a nov 02 cd boost stereo with ipod dension icelink plus with dock cable. I have a 30gb ipod video.

My girlfreinds ipod (4gb mini) works fine with no crackling or whistling. Does this mean it is a problem with my ipod or a problem with the setup for my ipod through the dension?

This interferance is so bad i cannot stand to listen to it for more than a minute.

Can anyone help me with this issue??

thanks dave

Ive had exactly the same problem with the BMW Ipod link my Ipod keep seizing/crashing i had to restore numorus times and its now culminated in Disk failiure of the ipod and it just out of its warrenty by two weeks! I think if I buy a replacement im going to go for a Nano as its all solid state storage and has no moving parts! The newer ipods are deffo not as reliable as the older models!

You might try using an older firmware to see if that solves your problems. It is definetly an Ipod issue if others are working fine.
