Seat belt tensioner

I have bought a Mini Cooper S (2005), which have a damage in the front and the front airbags has deployed, but not the seat airbags. But I have a question about how I can see about the seat belt tensioner in the seats are deployed or not. If I take a look at them physical it do not seems that they are deployed, but I am not sure about that. Has anyone any idea how to check them.

Its a pyrotechnic device so be careful! Also if the car has had a hard enough impact to deploy the front airbags the seat belts really should be replaced anyway. They are design to stretch slightly in an accident to decrease the accelleration on the occupant. once they have stretched once they won't do it again!

When I take a measure from top of the place where I put in the seat belt and down on the top of the cover, the driverseat is 17 cm and passengerseat is 18 cm.

I have taken photo of the seat belt tensioner, but how do I put it in here. My computer seems not not allow it. But my mail is ib@p-soerensen.dk if anyone wants to help me and have a look at the photo
