Looks great, but you'll have to remember to keep taking it out the car as it looks trick it also looks nickable.

I went for a boring looking Becker unit but the sound is fab.

Mine displays album art work etc just like that except on a full size screen and with no compromise over not being able to play CD's or DVD's

So that isn't the coolest, speak to Mikey before buying a cheap thing like this, he is the man that can advise you of what the best is you can get for your money

The IDA-X001 is the only unit to use a digital connection to a fifth generation iPod as far as I
know. The analogue connections are £$%& so I haven't used my iPod in the Mini for ages
and instead have been using mp3 on CDs. I'm hoping someone will install the Alpine and
post a review of it .

Our rep came in the other day and demo'd this unit in our audio stand and the clarity from the ipod source is excellent. Its not 'cheap' quality-wise, trust me!

Anyone want to set up a group buy? I fancy one...

I work in audio and can supply all the wiring adapters and fascia plates at cost no problem but don't have a contract with the alpine UK people.

Here's some picts of it installed. (taken from NAM Thread) looks pretty good. I'm thinking about getting one, too.

I like that! But, I do like having an in dash CD player. Having said that, I can't remember the last time I used the damn thing. I've had the Ice-Link Plus in my car for a couple of years so I suppose I'm an iPod addict now. Hmmm, maybe this would be nice to have....

This is just typical!

I was searching for this type of set-up when I had my R53! And NOW they will release it and I'm onto my R56 now!!!

Oh well...

For those of you opting for this HU - Enjoy!
