Changing Multi functional Seering Wheel

My old MFSW from my 52 cooper has become very taty, with lots of the leather comng off, so i have decided to change it over to the new 3 spoke MFSW. Will have the parts to fit it this weekend and was wondering if the wiring on the back will be a simple job between the different wheels?

Many thanks,
James

Yea, have been living with it now for a while. I was really supprised to how poor the 'leather' is, a few other parts of the wheel would look like those larger ones in a month or so.. Is that a normal fault?

New airbag is here, just waiting on my new 3 spoke MFSW which shoiuld be here with me today

Never done the swap myself but am interested in the outcome, especially if the phone buttons are active

It has come to my attention, that my mini never had the wiring for the phone kit on the wheel. For me to be able to use this correctly i guess that from the steering wheel to the radio there has to be some sort of connection to perform the funtions..?

I would like to use the buttons for my phone so could anyone shed a little light here? I will also want to connect my mp3 player which is my nokia n91 with 8gb of memory, so does the ipod connection options work with the headphone connection type plug?

Thanks

James

I can be a guinee pig if you fancy selling parts at trade prices

Surely i would need to have the bluetooth to see if it works? Getting it working with my Alpine headunit may be a problem or will it work with my factory sat nav?

Arghh, confused!
