I have justed fitted my new Alpine iDA-X001 along with the H/K enabler and all the gubbins from Mikey but now I am getting a hissing noise that you can hear when the stereo's volume is turned down to 0 (not using the mute button)

I am getting this on all connections CD Changer, Radio and iPod

Nope he wasnt having a day off he was at the lakes (awesome) and he'l be back at work soon i guess, a hissing noise normally comes from a bad ground if im correct but as you have only changed the adapter and nothing else then im lost as to whats the problem!

Back & knackered
The HK enabler does turn the amp up high, so you will hear a slight his if the stereo volume is turned off & you have the engine off, but this item is the only solution for using the HK system with an aftermarket stereo.
The only other solution is a total system change
If you dont like it I will refund you
