2 questions - replacement dash and wave question - MINI2

just been trying to put my original MINI cd player into my friends MINI one, just found it doesnt fit.

also scratched the dash aswell........not a good afternoon

need two things 1. do i need a different adapter for when i put in an aftermarket stereo than the usual one? think the tape player is a wave?

2. where can i get a new replacement dash in the dark silver colour? anyone other than bmw and also does anyone know the price of a new one?

What part of the dash are you talking about and what year is the car??

55reg and its the middle section above the dash

cheers mate just been on bmw oem for the part numbers in case the worse was to happen.
