How does it compare with the Parrot CK3100? And will you be offering any part exchange options for those who have the ice>Link+ and Parrot currently?

Awesome!

You mention that only certain head units work. I'll quite happily acquire the right head unit through eBay as long as I know what to look for. I'm assuming these details will be on your site or posted here.

[edit. That's the Gateway 100, right which doesn't come with a USB socket AFAICT. Any news on the Gateway with USB socket (for plugging in a memory stick) and Bluetooth together?]

Cheers

Oli

does this work with the phone? and do you sell the kit with the phone buttons? and if you have them will it control it? or will how does the multifunction work

OK bluetooth details
Once paired with the phone, the stereo must be in cd changer mode (ipod) to operate the phone from the stereo.
If you are in changer mode on the stereo, by using the stereo buttons you can activate voice dial or redial. to end the call you press track down on the stereo or MFSW
To answer a call (if in changer mode) The phone will ring, the ipod will pause & the number of the person calling you will appear on the radio. You press track up on stereo or mfsw to answer it & down to end or cancel.
If you are not in changer mode - i.e. listening to radio, then when your phone rings you need to select cd changer mode to allow control from stereo then press track up
It does not use the phone buttons on the wheel.
You need a text capable stereo to use this & no factory nav
It is not as good as the fully integrated parrot kit that uses all the mfsw but at £45 (on top of the gateway 100) it is a cheap way to add bluetooth & get some mfsw control & caller id.
If you are ordering online let me know your exact spec & I will upload the latest firmware & relevent text software for you

Does this mean the Gateway 300 + USB + Bluetooth option is on its way, or are you still testing?

Order for interior chrome bits just placed :-).

Thanks

On tmy old IceLink+ I had to name the playlists as BMW1, BMW2, etc (or something like that!). Will I need to do the same with the gateway?

The playlists didn't have to be named anything special for the icelink plus, they did however for Minis inferior ipod interface

I think it was a case of only showing the first 5 playlists in alphabetical order - so you could, for example, have them start with numbers -
1-Keane
2-Cold Play
.....etc,etc
Maybe the software changed after I got it later tho.....
