Trip computer retro fit

Considering buying the retro fit trip computer kit so i can get mpg etc read out but once installed i have to get it coded at BMW, any ideas how much this will cost? Also has anybody fitted one of these kits and how hard to do?

Thanks Paul, have read that in the past and looked a bit complicated thats why i looked at the genuine kit as it looks more of a plug and play design.

Hey Buz999,
worth shopping around the dealers - most seem to charge £65-£75 for coding work - others can be funny about doing the work. It is just luck of the draw - I've also heard of one lucky person who had coding done as part of a service they were in for FOC!! (now that doesn't happen very often.

Thanks miniredcooper, i will shop around as i am due an oil service in 1500 miles which will probably be up around MOT time so will be cheeky and ask if they would do coding FOC if i have these done with their dealership.
