Ipod Connection

I have a 2005 Cooper S, with the factory fit single slot CD player, no multichanger.

Have any of you fitted an ipod connection to this type of headunit and if so what did you go for?

I am looking for a hardwired solution, not an FM tuner as I have one and its poor.

I have an Alpine headunit with built in Ipod connectivity in my Classic Mini and find it more usefull than a CD Multichanger, though I really don't want to swap the headunit in the MINI

The Denison Ice>link plus is an ideal solution for a 2005 model with the Boost CD player - you can fit it DIY and get full control of the Ipod via the head unit or MFSW (if fitted), and also get the track listing scrolling across the head unit display.

I've had this setup in my Mini for the last year or two, and it cost just over £100 from Newministuff. There may be a newer Denison product now that does a similar job. The only word of caution is that you can fairly quickly cook the battery on the Ipod if you leave it permanently plugged into the car like I do.

I agree... The IceLink Plus is fine and if your radio is post FEB 2005 it will display song title and artist as well. murmini - MINI Cooper Blog : Installing an iPod in Your MINI

ID3 tags can be done only if you do not have the OEM NAV.
