Alpine iDA-X001 & Adaptors

Just thought id tell people about this headunit, i purchased the alpine ida-x100 and all the adaptors to fit it into my mini (iso adaptor, steering controls adaptor [2 part lead], nav interface, areial adaptor, facia adaptor)

the headunit is brilliant, it is a headunit geared around ipod; it doesnt have a cd slot. the centre control and screen are used exactly like the ipod and the speed of searching is as fast as the ipod its self. The unit actually runs with USB to the ipod, so you can actually attach any USB pen drive or mp3 player to it, which is great.

The screen shows all the album art etc, just as the ipod does.

I think its fantastic, and although it is quite pricey to buy all the adaptors to fit into a nav'd up and steering control mini, its well worth it.

I've just had this head unit fitted in my mini and it is great. It works really well alongside a parrot bluetooth evo 3000, hands free kit

Its great - I have an older alpine with ipod adaptor and searching the ipod with that is rubbish where Heather's new stereo it so easy - I have a 60g Video and can search the whole ipod so quickly. Just a note for potentional buyers though this only works with 5G video and nano's
