| Head unit advice needed please Hi All,
First post here, but I'd appreciate help from anyone who thinks they can help.
In the process of buying a Cooper S (facelift) model from a UK dealer. The car is fitted with an after market head unit (Ripspeed DVD 722B) which is fine, but I want (and have paid) for the dealer to fit either an aux socket for iPod or a 6CD changer.
My dealer tells me that they won't know if they can fit either until they pull the head unit, but also that when they get in they may find that the previous owner has "cut the wiring loom to fit the new stereo"
So, a couple of questions for you all;
1) Why would someone do this (if not by accident) to be able to fit an aftermarket head, or is the dealer just hedging their bets before knowing what's inside for certain?
2) Anyone know if it is even possible to fit an aux input to this head unit?
All help welcome.
Best,
S
P.S - We can't wait for our car to arrive..... |
