| Has Anyone Only Replaced The Speakers On The HK Stereo? I have a pre March 05 Cooper S, with the HK stereo in it, I really do not like the tweeters they put in front of those little mids in the top of the doors, has anyone just replaced the mid+tweeter in the door with something else? As far as I know the factory amp drives each pair of mid/tweet with a dedicated amp channel, is this correct? Do you know what the cross over freq is? If I am posting in the wrong area, please let me know, I did not see an audio related section.... Thanks..  |

| Apparently the HK Speakers are 2 Ohm, and most speakers for sale are 4 Ohm. There was a Japanese MINI2 user who connected 4 Ohm speakers to the HK amp, and claimed there were no issues, but do you think I can find that thread? Nope ... |

| There are some 2Ohm speakers out there that some folks have replaced their speakers with but it is the dual coil overs in the rear that will be the challenge. |
