Hi Jacked up I have some gauges what you seam to be describing. The ones I have aren’t classed as JWC though, so they maybe different ones. I got them from a BMW garage in Spa for only £27. They had the price marked wrong I am sure as they are £190 here. They can only be fitted to pre 2004 MINI's like ours I got BMW to fit them (took them ages!) as they had never fitted them before and needed longer wire to fit them. But thankfully they didn’t charge me any extra. They look great especially in the dark. Here are some pictures of mine....

get scanguage and fit that, does more and is oly £90. And then fit the JCW shift light on top of the dash wcich is £85 inc vat from the dealer. That takes about 45 mins to and hour to fit (easy peasy) and then for £175 in total and cheaper than the cost of those two other guages you have mre than enough information.

Additional Gauges

Just a note FYI regarding the fitment of these gauges to cars latter than 2004 year..

I bought a set of these gauges for my previous JCW (2003) but never fitted them, but had the BMW dealer fit them to my new Sept 2006 factory JCW ! . Dealer did not query this so they can be fitted to latter year cars.

Jacked Up,

take a look, you can't get neater than this. Does more and also resets all fault codes on the Mini except airbag, orange illumination looks OEM too, heres one in another car

It doesn't look stock at all though!

I'd go for the OEM ones personally, you tell they've been designed to fit the gap perfectly.

to give water temop and oil temp, wow, oil temp maybe , but the other bit, also nothing to stop you knocking up a mounting for it, i suppose it comes down to if your mini is for show or go as to which you wil go for. And also depends if you want to waste 300 quid on BMW fitted guages, however they do not blend with the standard equipment stuff

I was looking at getting some of these for my Cooper S and the dealers quoted me £330 for them fitted. Was wondering if any one knows what fitting these involves, and is it possible to do yourself?

Here's the official instructions for installation: http://www.outmotoring.com/images/ho...structions.pdf

It would be possible to do yourself depending on ability

Why not just buy a nice set of pods for above the steering wheel? Could be functional then too
