Quiet rear HK speakers?

Hi all

Can anyone put my mind at rest.....

I was playing about with the sound settings in my Mini tonight, and wound the fader all the way to the back, at which everything went VERY quiet

There was still music coming from the rear speakers, but it is significantly quieter than that coming the fronts - moving the fader one 'notch' to the front from the fully faded backwards position switches the front speakers on and the rear ones are basically inaudible.

What I need to know is - is this normal or not?

I have got an IceLink kit and integrated Parrot kit installed, so could/would these cause a problem? If the behaviour I'm seeing isn't normal I'll remove the kits to see if they're causing an issue. If not then do I have a problem with the HK amp or speakers?

Pretty normal as the rear speakers act more of Sub Woofers.
The front mid range and the tweeters by the door handles.

& a phone kit or icelink wont effect them as there is only 2 channels going from the stereo to the amp. Its the amp that then splits it into front & rear on HK

Thanks guys, I'm happy now I don't suppose it would sound as good as it does if the rear speakers weren't working
