CD Changer says no magazine

Hi I have just bought a cd multichanger for my daughter (it is a 2nd hand one of ebay) i have plugged it in but i just get the message on the radio "no magazine" i have tried pushing the eject button on the multichanger but nothing happens!
Is there anything else i should be doing/checking?

Mine does that, hence why it is now underneth the stairs!!!
I spoke to a guy over the road who runs a car audio shop, and he siad that it sounds like a magazine ejector spring has gone, costing around £60 to buy the part and fit (at mates rates!!)

However this could not be the cas, but might be worth checking at a local car audio shop!!

Just out of interest, how much did you pay for the changer... Hopefully not too much?!

Hi, WHat did you do in the end? as mine has just done this, so am wondering if it is the spring or not.
